There is a light that never goes out
It sits beneath the ocean far from sight
In the depths the glimmer draws in
Fish and octopi
They wonder why it is there
Bizarre and glossy
Shimmering
But you know why it is there
It is there to taunt you, mock you
Laugh at how you can't get to it
Unfortunately
All you truly desire is to possess that light
Like some kind of pathetic movie villain
You want the one thing you can't have
And even then you don't know
What it is
The soul of Marcellus Wallace
It shines and tempts you
But you can't look at it
Take it or
Embrace it
You think you can dive to it
But the pressure is far too great
Like a paper cup it collapses and shrivels
Just like your desire
Over time it leaks happiness
Flitting with the eight and two fifteens
Rising like a beanstalk
Unlike you
A viscous mixture
You swallow it
And start to choke
