Your Own Love

Love is warm like magma burning always
Love is cold like air from an old freezer
Love can open you up; window in May
Love can shut you; stabbed like old Caesar
Love lifts you up, ballooning in the air
Love pushes you down into a deep hole
Love is a gamble, a vagrant light flare
Love is constant,  holding onto your soul
Love clicks, pushing on your inner earlobe
Love tricks, visceral illusions in thought
Love is infinite, flying like a probe
Love is fickle; it changes all for naught
It doesn’t matter who you are, I say
You can find love and make it work some way
